Stealing Time

In some ways, I wrote my first novel by stealing time. I took a small notebook with me everywhere I went. Instead of scrolling or gaming, I put words on paper. Eventually, those words added up. I began to call it stealing time, but really, it was time management. (Stealing time sounds way more romantic.) So next time you feel like grabbing something mind numbing, put your mind to work instead. If you write for just 15 minutes a day, in a year, you will have written for about 91 hours. Think about it!

It doesn't matter where or how you choose to write. If you are jotting notes down in a tiny notebook to use later, you are making progress. If you are typing a poem into your google docs on your phone for use later, then you are writing. By adding up all the bits and pieces when you do have time, you will find you have made progress. By always having something with you to jot down those notes, whether it is a notebook and your favorite pen, your cell phone, or even one of those cool paper tablets that my fellow author Robert Jenkins uses, you are making progress.

If you'd like one of the fancy paper tablets, check out the link below. It comes highly recommended.

I get a little bonus if you buy through my links.
